Q: When replacing our gas stove, is it really necessary to replace the flexible pipe that is attached to the gas pipe? It looks pretty good.
A: It is absolutely necessary to replace the flexible pipe. Never re-use it. Here's why: even though it may look good to the eye, over time, repeated flexing causes small cracks to develop. Always install up-to-code, new coated flexible connectors and don't over-bend. Even the best connectors have limits.
Q: My in-sink disposal is clogged. Any tips?
A: Yes! Don't turn on the disposal repeatedly when clogged. That will burn out the motor. Instead, insert a hex headed Allen wrench into the six sided slot located in the bottom center of the unit. Rotate in both directions until it spins freely. If that doesn't work, give us a call!
